Manager Library Services

Upper Lachlan Shire Council is seeking a customer-focused Manager Library Services. The successful applicant will be required to work 70 hours per fortnight reporting to the Director of Finance and Administration. The position is based in Crookwell at the branch library.

Conditions of employment for this position are covered by the Local Government (State) Award 2020. The position salary range is Band and Level 3/3 under Council’s salary system.

Applicants require achievement of competencies and qualifications including:-

  1. Degree qualification in Library, Information Management or a related discipline.
  2. Experience in delivering library and information services and collection development at a management level.
  3. Proven ability to engage with and influence internal and external stakeholders.
  4. Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.
  5. Demonstrated staff management experience.
  6. Experience using library management systems and online information tools.
  7. Working with Children Check and Working with Vulnerable People Check.
  8. Current Class C drivers licence.
