Senior Customer Service Officer

About the roles:

Are you passionate about books, people, and creating an exceptional library experience? We are seeking two dynamic and enthusiastic Senior Customer Service Officers to join our vibrant library team.

Duties include:

  • Supervise day to day operations of the library service desk/library branch.
  • Provide excellent customer service to library patrons, ensuring their needs are met with a friendly and helpful approach.
  • Resolve high level or escalated customer requests, enquiries and complaints.
  • Actively participate in the planning and delivery of Library programs and activities targeting customers from diverse cultures and age groups.

About you:

To be successful in this role you will have:

  1. Minimum 3 years in a similar role
  2. Tertiary qualifications in Library & Information Services or related field or currently undertaking
  3. Experience in a high volume, fast paced, customer focused service environment
  4. Experience in supervising staff
  5. Experience in dealing with challenging customer interactions

Position details:

2x Permanent Part‐time roles, S0400 & S0531 – 17.5 hours per week
Salary from $41.96 per hour + Superannuation + Performance Bonus (up to 2% annual salary) + Organisational Bonus (up to $2K) + Aquatic and Fitness membership discounts

The positions are based at Vinegar Hill Memorial Library at Rouse Hill, however the successful applicants must be willing to work at any of Council’s Libraries. Hours will be as rostered and include weekend, day and evening shifts.
